Tallest building in town, can you name the city?

I learned about this building today, 5 minutes ago:

Given the limitless featureless terrain that is green and not beige, I am guessing somewhere in Florida.

I did. The Bay City Rollers were a Scottish boy band from the 70's that my (now middle aged) sister was completely obsessed with
 
I was big into Kenny Rogers back then until my aunt gave me Sabbath Bloody Sabbath on 8 track. Still my favorite album

Seeing someone's basically got it, this is in the village of Itasca Illinois - population of <10k, 5.0 mi², roughly 20 miles from downtown, and almost perfectly in the runway centerline for runway 27C at O'hare. It gets away with that bc Midwest sprawl - its ~4 miles away. As far as a MA comparison though, as a Town Itasca is roughly analogous to Maynard, which just doesn't have all the job centers.

(You should also have a look at Oakbrook Terrace.)

That is correct, and I also saw Oakbrook Terrace in my search. I used the skyscraperpage diagrams and searched for Illinois minus Chicago. Oakbrook was the tallest and the one in Itasca number 2.

Oakbrook Terrace and Gallagher Centre both look like something out of SimCity 2000.

This 16 story structure is not the tallest inhabitable structure in this poorly named metro area, but it is the tallest building in its city. It is slated for demolition as its previous user has moved to newer and better facilities, which despite early planning for a building that would have been taller than this one, as built only stands 8 stories tall.

This city's tallest building rises over 400 feet and has a surprisingly large skyline though it's not exactly a traditional downtown.

I think Stlin's clue "poorly named metro area" was not meant as criticism but to highlight that the Quad Cities actually have 5 municipalities that are part of the region.

Exactly that - I guess Quint Cities doesn't roll off the tongue quite as nicely, but yea - "The Quad Cities is a region of five cities" thing is what I was going for.
