In that first picture, is that... it? They look like they left lots of bare concrete on that side. I know it is cladding, but looks pretty lame.

Yeah, it's lame...despite the fact that the location of this building deserves better (architecturally speaking), I find comfort in the fact that there is at least a greater benefit being generated (workforce housing).

Hopefully the hotel that was approved on the small corner parcel next door on N. Washington will largely block this side from most angles, except perhaps looking straight down the alley.
 
Looks good. Remember also that in the pic above on that blank part of the left side facade there is going to be a sign hung. Also where the advertisement is now has more glass underneath.

What a transformation for the area. I actually had to think for a minute about where the shot was taken -- and read the signs.

yeah but the ground level along Beverly has the potential to be a hell of a lot better than the ground levels of The Victor or One Canal...
 
The street wall actually looks great here now. This really tied it together and I think this building is a perfect addition to the other landscrapers that are here. I think the mechanicals/garage levels could have been handled a little better but I have seen worse. The mech screen is very substantial on the side...either way I think this building was success. Now that I think about it I didnt notice the blank wall when I was on washington st which is a good sign. It was very lively also with people walking all around the area like its always been there. Not bad if I so say so myself.

We are happy to tell you that the Beverly lottery has been scheduled. The details of the lottery are as follows:

Date: Wednesday, October 25th, 2017

Time: 11:00AM

Location: 26 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108 - Department of Development’s Winter Chambers Room

The Boston Fair Housing Commission (BFHC) conducts the lottery for income restricted and affordable housing developments, and they have assigned each applicant a BFHC application number. If attending the lottery, applicants must bring the BFHC Application Number listed above with them.

The lottery is now done electronically, which takes less than a minute. The event as a whole tends to last 30 – 60 minutes, depending on how many people show up. Much of the time is spent distributing Lottery numbers and answering questions about the process and the property.

These lotteries are always open to the public, but please know that you do not have to be present to be entered. After the drawing, everyone entered in the lottery will be notified of their lottery number in writing (email or USPS).

Additionally, it is very important to note that nobody wins anything at the lottery. The lottery is simply a way to randomize the applicant pool so that the opportunities are not offered to people on a first-come-first-serve basis. Your lottery number is only one piece of the sorting process.

After the lottery, the BFHC will send us the results in a spreadsheet and we will sort them according to bedroom sizes and preferences (ADA, Boston Residency, Minimum One Person per Bedroom, and then lottery number). Once this is done we submit the results back to the BFHC, who reviews and approves the list before we can begin the next steps for tenant selection. It is important that nobody give notice on their current leases until a lease for this property is signed.
