The Mark at DeNormandie Wharf | Hodge Boiler Works Building | East Boston

Re: Hodge Boiler Works

I don't even remember this one. Looks like a conservative design but a project that will no doubt improve what is there now.

Re: Hodge Boiler Works

DeNormande Wharf kinda resembles the Schrafft's building in Charlestown minus the clock, neon, and flag. I'm hopeful this jump starts development on the East Boston waterfront.

So confused by this drawing and all other renders I've seen

Re: Hodge Boiler Works

I believe this rendering is the product of Alriti.

Thinking about how when Hamburg had the opportunity to redevelop many waterfront sites it didn't totally squander the opportunity with the cheap and banal...I'm not asking for an Elbephilharmonie, just a little vision for our harborfront.

Decon is what kept most of these wharfs from being redeveloped for so long. It is a really expensive process.

Good to see they are really doing it. Other areas that have done extensive wharf redevelopment (looking at you Edgewater, NJ) have basically just capped off the mess, leaving all the toxic crap just below ground level.

More renderings and interior photos from BLDUP. It also looks like the official name is "The Mark at DeNormandie Wharf".

Site Plan]
Should be a wing added here (good for another 25 or so units) breaking up the excessively large terrace. This is right next to a big park and a lot of harbor walk, there certainly is no shortage of open space.

Great view. Underwhelming architecture. One would think the view would support more than a bit of a premium on design and materials.
