Time & Temp Building / Brown St. Parking Garage Redevelopment | Portland

Good news with an update from my previous post back in March. Wright-Ryan representatives confirmed with me this morning that the renovations to the Chapman Building will commence later this year. Fencing, Jersey barriers and dumpsters will be the first signs of progress. The tower will be converted into a hotel and will also include the former TD Bank branch on Congress Street. The attached buildings on Preble Street will be converted to apartments and is a separate project that will be carried out by a different developer. The top two floors (13 & 14 plus mechanical level) will be totally rebuild with the exterior walls being demolished and replaced to provide structural stability and blend in better with the original facade. A new and technically advanced time and temperature sign will replace the current one that has seen its better days!

Great question and I'm not sure seeing that there are two different projects.

Is the new T&T sign already in place? I noticed that the bulbs have been repaired and replaced.

I'm not sure and I wish I would have paid more attention to the top of the building. That would probably be a newsworthy event if the entire sign was replaced seeing the landmark significance of an event like that.
