What does your board name mean?

NYC - New York City

Tiki, because like Tiki, father of Polynesia, I am like the father of SleepNewYork.

Or something like that.
 
Mine is in honor of Pierce Inverarity from the Crying of Lot 49, a character I was quite taken with in the early days of selecting noms-de-keys. And I always wanted a name that was also a verb.

My avatar is a project by Roberto Burle Marx, the late great Brazilian landscape architect, whose work I'll finally have the opportunity to visit this February.
