I think the above is the best angle of the skyline with the Winthrop Tower. The gap between them allows both MT and WT appear more prominent

over/under = February 2024
Ill take the under on that. I bet it comes down sooner than other properties, namely rental properties. These are condos and that sign is going to inhibit sales by obstructing views and I doubt its going to sell many units on its own.

Sadly, one of the *very* few angles where that's true.

Perhaps this has been asked/answered recently, but is there any news on WT being lit up at the top at night? The best I was ever hoping for was a dim glow of minimal uplighting, like One Intl Place, but are we even getting that??

That view when you step out of south station was always so underwhelming for the location right in downtown. For some reason the angle was just right where there was a hole in the skyline and some really stumpy buildings and a big dig service building that blocked out the whole skyline. Winthrop ctr has finally changed that forever and its nice to see.

I didn't realize the glass tint of the secondary shorter part is different from the main tower's. It's especially visible in lynqueezy's post above. They look like completely separate buildings from this angle.

I just don't get the issues with extending downtown/financial district south from South Station towards the highway building in-between the highway and ramps and if possible over some of it. It's almost like prime location realastate without nimbus.

FAA limit drops off to 300' IIRC around there. Could be closer to the seaport though
