Heard a promo on FNX for Gentleman's Hall on FNX for the Hard Rock. Nice! Do I buy tickets online or at the door?
 
It's a free concert, you can sign up for the guest list at wfnx.com and get a +1. That's what i did at least. Looking forward to the show.

^ Yeah, and just as we were getting traction...d'oh! Word on the street is surprise at FNX lasting as long as it did (and knowing the macro trends at work I believe it) but it doesn't make things hurt any less.

First off, holy Chrimbus you're alive! Great to see you back here. And yes we will be doing some shows this summer. I can't tell you where or when because they aren't booked yet, but rest assured we'll be playing locally every two months or so.

PS sorry to respond to some of you so late, but I completely forgot about this thread! Whoops.
 
Hah, yeah that was me. I think I was talking to Seth beforehand and he was the one who referred to you as the "architecture guy," so i just went with it. Thought I should at least say hi before I left. Also didn't feel like shouting "I'm hutch from archboston!" to the whole bar lol and figured it wasn't the best time to chat anyway.

In any case, I really enjoyed the show, some flaming lips influence in there (musicwise not showise)? Also the friend I brought enjoyed the cover of "Help I'm Alive" even more than Metric's version.

Good luck with the shows and keep us posted.
 
Well thank you for coming out. Believe it or not, you're only the second person from this board to see us play, so I do appreciate it. And that's high praise of your friend's, saying he likes our version of the Metric tune over the original? Damn. And yes, the Flaming Lips are a pretty big influence of ours...hopefully one day (when we have more $$$) we can make our live experience more like theirs.
 
Ha, yes, I'm alive. I've gotten spread quite thin amongst social networks and what-not. Plus, it's hard to keep up with Boston development when you live in Missouri and Minnesota most of the time.

Anyways, I'll definitely keep an eye out for your shows. In the meantime, Spotify will have to do.

Who knows, perhaps you'll end up doing a Midwest tour and you'll do a show in Columbia sometime.

EDIT: Well, spread thin, and petty, never-ending Internet arguments are the bane of my existence.

Kennedy, the closest we've come to Columbia thus far is Des Moines and Davenport. But if you're ever near Minneapolis, we do play there 3-4 times a year (our guitarist is from there).
 
People of archBOSTON, Gentlemen Hall will be playing next Wednesday night, July 25th, at Great Scott in Allston as part of "WFNX's Boston Accents Funeral Party." This is Michael Marotta's way of saying goodbye to his now-former-as-of-last-night occupation while having a drunken good time.

We're playing on the third of three nights and the rest of the lineup for that night includes Black Light Dinner Party, Bearstronaut and Stereo Telescope. It'll cost you $10.

Already got tickets and will be there with a few friends. Had to choose one of the three nights and while I'd still like to see RIBS live, the third/last night should be the best/wildest right???
 
DAMN! After literally not having to go anywhere for the last couple months, I got to jet out of town for work those 3 days. Next show definitely. Make it the Middle East- I like that place. ;)
