Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I asked them to update the topic based on the 755' height figure I got from the FAA (check the last page or two for that story), but they must've changed it in their database on their own.

I noticed this the other day, too.
They do need to adjust the diagram's height [of the Four Season's Tower] to accurately reflect it being a smidge taller than the Prudential--looks like they just flip-flopped it's position of the two buildings without modifying (stretching) the Four Seasons.

It's all user-submitted so somebody would have to draw it again.

interesting Skyscraper page finally updated Boston's diagram and now shows this tower being taller than the Pru?

Have you tried using your computer's "snipping tool?" It should be under the start menu in Windows. Very useful to crop a picture from your screen.

Boston's new Top 10 in.... a year or so?

Man 100 Federal is a proforma driven lump of awkwardness isnt it!

Just an FYI... if you press the print screen button, it will copy whatever is displayed on your monitor. Then you can paste that into MS paint and save as an image.

sorry but Im about 30 yrs older than most of you's I'm lucky I can even turn on my computer lol

If someone makes a model of Copley it would show up no one has created one though. If you use the search feature you can see all buildings in the diagram even those without a drawing. Here is what the top 10 looks like in that search.

From 10/11. No visible progress. Not sure if I really believe in any timelines that say this will be topped off in a year!!!

I love that the construction of these two towers is staggered. Keeps it interesting. As one finishes up, the next one is sprouting up.

I know we are all jaded from the Downtown crossing hole, but if you go to 1dalton construction updates website, it seems like they have actually done a lot of work on this project already and I don't see how they can turn back now

I love that this stretches the skyscraper skyline further southwest. For years/decades, it seemed as if skyscrapers would never go beyond the Pru. That was the bookend. As far west/southwest as possible.

Now, we will have a skyscraper right up against Mass Ave. This is completely game-changing. Just a couple years ago, it would seem ridiculous for a skyscraper to sprout in the Fenway neighborhood. For example, if a 500 footer was now proposed for the parking lot on St. Botolph across from Matthew's Arena, it wouldn't be immediately dismissed. That's the transformative effect of this building.

Yes, you are right^. So I apologize to the VAST majority of the people on the right that I know, who are, in fact, not Klan members, though I am sure you are not surprised that I might rhetorically suggest such a thing to make a point. That does not change the fact that neither mayor is/ was a mob boss. The way I see it is you don't speak ill of the dead and you don't accuse the living without proof.

Also, I apologize to anyone who clicked on this thread looking for info on this project and found this instead, sorry.

If you do not believe that this city (and state for that matter) is seriously corrupted and operated with "mob like" tendencies, then you are either very young, very naive, or both.

I would recommend that you stop wearing your political leanings like a hat and recognize things for what they are rather than protecting the shield at all costs.

Are we serious? Find a political bitching thread for this...

So:

I think this one may measure to 755'.

I was browsing the FAA site for obstruction evaluations/approvals and came across this:
https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=206595300&row=2

I can't think of any other development that this could be.

Say hello to our new second tallest?

I absolutely hope that 1 Dalton winds up being 755' (hell, I don't know why they don't add another 50' to that figure and go for new tallest, but that's another topic), *but* I wonder about how accurately we're reading these FAA measurements.

If you check the archives, a lot of the FAA height assessments are way off when compared to actual height (even when factoring in structure height vs. site elevation).

111 Huntington -- 554 feet, but according to FAA site, it's 683'/699': https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=81413&row=12

One Lincoln (State Street) -- 463 feet (over 500 with antenna), but according to FAA, it's 908'/920': https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=341999&row=4

Millenium Place Tower 1 -- 475' and FAA has it as 571'591': https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=341999&row=4

and they have the in-progress Millenium Tower at 897'/926' which (unfortuantely) is way off: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=239163301&row=0

*But* then other recent entries do seem to be (mostly) in line with accepted heights.

FAA has 33 Arch as being 450/467', which is pretty close to the accepted 477' height: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=341999&row=4

Not really sure what to make of all that -- and it's entirely possible I'm not reading the FAA site correctly (anyone have any other explanation? I'd love to know) -- but I'll keep my fingers crossed that this one does actually hit 755' when all's said and done.
