The prices are off, shady craigslist postings often put the wrong number in the posting title. If you notice the first one's location is way off in dorchester somewhere. Either the poster doesnt know how to post correctly or they purposely mislead people but either way I promise you they aint 1900-2600. I'd bet my entire bank account those #s are way way off

The Franklin St. error is a plausible error. Heck, I have my Google Now "Work" set to my Franklin St. 02110 address and *still* it sometimes defaults to that other Franklin St in Dot when I ask it about work. There's one in Charlestown too.

But overall, agreed. Shady posting.

I noticed the incorrect maps, too. But they both state 1 Franklin street, and the descriptions are very much explicit to Millennium Tower. Pictures too.

You may be right, they might be shady postings in some way - just lying about the price for example. But I think just the maps are off.

ha! I'll pass.

I've never rented an apartment via Craig's List (or any other way for over a couple decades) so if there's this much fraud, it's news to me - but I'll take everyone's word for it, given my ignorance. I can't say I'm surprised, so I guess I should have been more doubtful.

But now I'm curious to know what the bottom line actual rent is. I see about three listings at $4,000.....

I've developed a pretty keen b.s. filter over all the time I've spent looking at Craigslist apartments in my life (it actually doesn't take very long), and there is no way those posts are legit. If the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. And it's never a good sign when the pictures provided are marketing images that anyone could pull off the internet.

Yup, true words. My trouble is, I've been out of the rental market so long, I don't have any feel for what would constitute "too good to be true" for MT. I can go look up and quote you chapter and verse on LIHTC restricted rents in various places, but that's looking from the ownership direction, and looking at affordable. From the renter's direction, on unrestricted units? I dunno.

So what does everybody think is the minimum rent - for real - in MT? For, say, a 1BR down pretty low in the tower where the views aren't great?

So does this picture single handedly ruin all of the detractors that "just knew" this was going to be dead space and nobody was ever going to use it just because they said so.

It aint times square but its much better than what was there before and looks like its being used as designed. I see lots of people chatting, eating lunch, reading, taking in the outside air, basically doing human things. Cant ask for much more than that. Great addition to the city.

seeing that pic made me pretty happy. hope it continues to get good use.

Hopefully, the hours for sitting there into the evening have been extended. It's such a simple, but great addition to that corner!

I saw the stairs open around 9 pm a few weeks back. I'm sure they will get plenty of use for, say, 8-9 months out of the year.

Great news, I thought it was silly to have blocked off the stairs at dusk when the stairs were originally finished and opened.

did anyone suggest moving this thread to Architecture and Urbanism?

There are a good number of units in the building that have been closed and delivered by Millennium Partners and not yet occupied, owner or otherwise. The rental population in the building is expected to pick up this next 9/1/17 cycle.

Probably $3500 or so would be a good ballpark.

This was probably already noted somewhere in here, but last week I found that the second or third floor of Primark was recently expanded and now goes out over the Old Navy location.

I think I like the added texture the drawn shades give the entire building.

Has anyone seen a copy of the condo by-laws? Do they have to be filed with the city, or the registry of deeds or anything like that?
