Site Issues

-Pro tip that I just realized recently.

It used to be that when you would click the insert image button above and paste your image link, wherever your cursor was within your post was where the image would paste. Then it randomly changed to where it would only paste the image at the very top of your post which is a pain in the ass because then you have to select, copy, and then paste each individual image where its supposed to go.

One thing I just realized recently is that instead of clicking insert at the bottom corner of the image box, if you just click return on your phones keyboard it will paste the image at the spot of your cursor like its supposed to! I was so happy when I figured this out haha, it saves soo much annoying work.

I don't know why it happens, but if you clear your browsing data (you only have to do the past hour if you do it right after it starts happening) it works.

Interestingly, I have different chrome logins and it will happen to them individually on the same computer, but it doesn't sync. So if it happens to my work login while I'm on my personal laptop, I can switch to my personal login and it works fine, or if I switch to my work laptop it will work fine.

Happened to me a couple of times. Seems there's a problem with the "keep me logged in" cookie, as when I've fixed the problem and log back in, I'm thrown back into being forbidden.

I've fixed it by wiping my cookies, and when that doesn't work, opting to not stay logged in.
 
^Silver lining: site seems to be running much faster now (for me at least)
 
Just a question, and in no way meant to be accusatory - but Ive noticed that some longstanding posters have suddenly become "guest" / "deleted members"? Was that a intended action or...?

Specifically, the ones I've noticed are Portlander, Markhb, Thomas.

Tom Nevers DM’d me about the same issue. Seems to have occurred the same time as the site outage last week. Tom has continued Sky Cities, but has not gotten a response to my knowledge. Just noticed Sky Cities is logged on.
 
Yesterday I noticed I can no longer get on archboston from wifi. When I go to the site a white page shows up that says “forbidden you dont have permission to access this resource”. I have verizon as my wifi and I read they lump a bunch of ppl on the same ip addresses so maybe my ip was blocked somehow? Anyone know what I can do to fix this?
 
I've got the same issue, I also use Verizon FiOS too. I posted on the archBoston Facebook page about this issue. For now I can only access using my cell phone over the mobile network
