Yea it does come across as looking deceivingly small. I guess comparing it to the excavator in the background helps visualize the scale a bit. The building itself will be even smaller than the hole because the building has chamfered corners vs the hole where the corners come to a point.

Not sure if this is the latest presentation, but the plans call for buildout towards the greenway without a basement and then a cantilever. I marked out an estimate of the basement footprint in purple in the second image.

Apparently people are sensitive to tall buildings abutting a park, but don’t tell that to Chicago with Millenium park and NYC with Central Park…
