I'm pretty sure that the little yellow ball representing the sun is supposed to draw attention to the fact that there are mirrors strategically placed on the sides and the mast of the building (and on the roofs of neighboring buildings, theoretically) that will reflect light down to ground level.

I've said it before: Harvard should be asked to build and operate this botanical garden, as a downtown outpost of the arboretum. They have the money, and the city will have leverage since Harvard wants their 50-year Allston master plan approved.

So, according to those figures, the height of the building (not including the spire) will be about 1100 feet. That will make it the tallest building in the U.S. outside of NY and Chicago (beating out the 1023-foot Bank of America tower in Atlanta). Does anyone know if this spire will count...

It's open to the public. For some reason, though, they're being really secretive about this project. It's located on the 9th (top) floor of city hall.
