That intersection is forming up to be a very attractive little node of density, and the ground floor retail at 2 Alpine street is going to add a lot to it. If they can find the right tenant(s) then I'm sure the area will buzz all year.

Does anyone know the status of the project to extend the Northern Strand trail to Nahant via Downtown Lynn? The latest I can find is that construction was "planned before the end of 2023", but I am assuming it has not even started yet due to the lack of chatter on it.

The entire thing looks compressed. I sort of have the feeling that those involved in producing these types of renderings implicitly underestimate the true width of vehicle lanes, and then just scale the bike lanes until they look right.
