Yes...but...I assume the canal connected to Fort Point? How far did it go? To Back Bay station?
 
To me it just looks like a giant dirty puddle. Maybe someone else has details...
 
If I had to guess, it was what was left of the NEC when they blew it up to rebuild it and the new southwest corridor. Looks like a puddle filled it.
 
There's a dining car (an/the(?) Indianapolis) sandwiched between the baggage car and locomotive on Amtrak Regional #66 this morning.

Anyone have a better idea of why it's here / whether I could've boarded it were I business class?

One of the things I like to do when I have spare time is play with photoshop. I made a few "T" themed wallpapers for the iphone 5 (these are a perfect fit) if anyone has one.

There are just as many upper class people and upscale businesses that cater to them in Boston as always (if not more). It's just that they are getting younger and have vastly different tastes than the generation before them.

Edit: Unless you are referring to the current generation of upper class as 'trashy', in which case, sure.

This reminds me of how Kz's Sim City wasn't discovered until 5 years later. This map is at least 4 years old (ignoring updates).
