Has anyone else noticed that every time ablarc goes on hiatus this freakshow starts up again? It's pretty clear the guy has a lot of free time between the semi-daily regurgitation of design school notes and lectures and the photo essays entirely lifted from Flickr plus the predictably lame one liners at every odd hour of the day.

Abark NICE guy. NOT the showy freak YOU saying in these bad words!!! He NOTot showy AT ALL.. But Iam wondering about this above driveby posting since it say theMEAN things here): So Iam asking Mr Battrymarch for his giving the advice AND offering the help to him as follows:
Mister BM: You everGET $10000 Mr. KPete Marwick BET you that South Station Tower is open by now? (Iam asking old uncle for name of his VICE presedents of collection for you. They going thru BackBay all the time on way to making "drop offs" at South Boston watrefront and on Xpressway embankments. )

ps: I just ask old uncle now. He ask 'what is the VIG".

This forum has been deserted for the last few days. Has everyone gone away for the long weekend or is the recession so bad that there's nothing at all to report?

It's always inactive on weekends, don't know why. Might have something to do with the higher average age on this forum, compared to most.

yeah i noticed too. I logged on a few times this weekend only to see nothing has changed and i didn't have anything to report.

I can't wait until we get some new projects. I remember back in like 2006/07 when we would get a new project proposal like once a month.

This all may or may not be true, but either way, perhaps you should aim to contribute as much.

There's some stat somewhere showing internet usage drops nationwide on weekends. People are out doing things, regardless of age. People aren't at work procrastinating, everyone is out at night.

I watched Surrogates today. Did they film all of 4 minutes in Boston? I was expecting more.

Yeah, seems quiet. I was laying low because I realized how negative I was sounding lately plus I felt like a thread-hog. Plus, we went away to the Catskills. Plus, I need a job - I have no real estate deals going on and no other means of income, so that's depressing.

I've been working on my new website - the Life of a City (yes, it has the annoying capitalization). http://thelifeofacity.com. Should go live next week, I don't love the layout yet.

One of our illustrious board members pointed me to this website:

http://www.shorpy.com/ - Historic Photo Archive

Cool historic photos of major US cities, among other things.

Cleveland, hey at least we ain't Akron!

Boston, Springfield who?

Haha, wow. Do they know that people in Buffalo think Cleveland is a successful case of urban regeneration and look upon them jealously?

"Our economy is based on Lebron James."

Not if Monsieur Ainge has his way.

That bombed-out looking photo -- is that the aftermath of the Great Boston Fire of 1872?
