Anybody else watching the game right now? 45-0, five TD passses in one quarter, two hookups with both Moss AND Welker..... shit!

On Cleveland: that video is too funny (~who the fuck still uses a pay phone~). Two of the guys in my band are from there, and they can't help but agree with it. As for my personal experiences there: Cleveland seems like Buffalo (which I also know well), just enlarged by 50% and doing maybe a hair better.

Records made today ---

For Brady: 5 TD passes in one quarter (most since 1950) and 345 passing yards in the first half.
For the franchise: 45 first half points, 35 second quarter points, 59 total points, 622 total yards of offense.
League all-time: 45 point halftime lead

There's probably others I missed...

speaking of football, has anyone else noticed the absurd hatred Broncos fans have for the Pats? They've beat us more times than not lately, what is it?

I think its something to do with their swallowing of Elway and the fear of Brady overtaking Elway as a better QB. I think that already happened didnt it? And their desire to have their back to back titles be remembered (which they are not) but what the hell?

I HATE Broncos fans and I hate that fucking state. (never been there but I knew some ppl from Colorado in college) What is that state's deal? Denver isn't remembered for anything, the Rockies there apparently provide great skiing... But doesn't Wyoming and Eastern Cali and what, North Dakota as well? and them and their mountains are complete FRAUDS. 35,000 ft mountains? What they never mention is its from sea level... the mountains are nowhere near that height from base to peak. GO FUCK YOURSELVES DENVER. You will never be remembered for anything, ever. Forgettable in every way but somehow they find themselves important.

I too have noticed that. I have no light to shed on the matter, but I will say that South Park (which is set in Colorado and written and produced by two guys from there) has an episode where one of the two main plotlines was based around cheating to succeed, citing Belichick's success as proof positive that it works.

I've noticed the Broncos hatred. But I've also noticed the hatred of every single other football fan in the nation. Let me tell you, being a Patriots fan in St. Louis is full of glory. I walked into school, didn't even have to say anything. It was beautiful. Especially that one Titans fan.

Hatred equals jealousy 95% of the time.

And I like the state of Colorado enough. They have pretty decent mountains, especially compared to out east. Vail isn't any Jackson Hole, but then again, it's not supposed to be. And hey, California's mountains are just as big a fraud as Colorado's, if not more so.

Re: Video I'm surprised that man could run as fast as he did with balls as big as his.

LOL @ Suffolk

Yeah, I'll take Utah for skiing any day over Colorado.

Also, you should post that rant somewhere on skyscraperpage, which is loaded with Denver boosters (the "up and coming" city syndrome shared by residents of such holes as Phoenix, anycity Texas, etc.)

hey statler, i was just looking at the park plaza hotel on google maps, and noticed a "statler park" next to it. on stuart st.

Yup, the Park Plaza used to be a Statler Hotel.

I'll admit I took my name from the Muppet, but he took his name from the hotel chain, so there is a connection there, tenuous though it may be.

ugh i hate when the forum (development news in general) grinds to a halt.

Anybody watching this ND BC game? Reminds me when I was watching the game and I ended up at the local Lechmere watching the game with complete strangers watching it and cheering. I saw the beginning of today's telecast: Could that really be '93?

wait it aint whatever year I saw that in Lechmere, BC blows ass.. Matty Ice woulda thrown that away

Addicting, innit?

Honestly! I find myself on on a host of other forums looking at developments in cities i would never even bother with otherwise.

It has been getting to the point where i was looking up new construction in St. Petersburg, Fl......

I'm apparently not as bad as you, but when I need an archi-fix I'll head over to Skyscraperpage, where I can surf through a delightfully random assortment of topics and projects. That'll usually kill a good hour or so.

I go to skyscrapercity, checking out development in random countries, and there are a huge amount of interesting projects going on. For my area of expertise (China, more specifically Tianjin), I go to skyscrapers.cn, gaoloumi.com, and bohaibbs.org (unfortunately I have not been able to go on the last one recently because they seem to have blocked users located in foreign countries). If I missed anything, usually one of my contacts would send me a message on MSN being extremely hyper about some stunning new project, but unfortunately due to the recession, instances of that have decreased recently :( So I can definitely say I am a total development geek, but I am not planning to get a job in it for many reasons.
