10 World Trade | BGI Office Tower (Massport Parcel A2) | Seaport

I.....cannot.......wait.....for....this....one!!!!!!!!!!!

This project, with it's street level walkways and pedestrian access is a placemaker.

Between this and the Foundation Medicine building, there's going to be a lot of annual convention-goers who will have an amazing new visual experience. So many people only see cities through business trips- the effort during the Covid Break will have totally changed this neighborhood.

Good point. It IS a great face to present to the world.

Neat feature in Metropolis on this project (8/31):
"Construction of the building is expected to start in the fall"

This is definitely a cool way to use that triangle parcel between 2 highway on ramps that otherwise most likely would have been windswept grass for decades. It may not end up as popular as the renders depict, but the upper ped connection is worth it alone, the space below is icing on the cake.

It's interesting, but it doesn't go anywhere. Would have loved a similar effort going alongside WTC ave bridge and over the haul road.

What do you mean its a pedestrian connection between the BCEC/omni/parking garage and the ground floor of the wtc/pier 4 waterfront/ica. Seaport sq steps and waterside B staircase add more connections as well, but the more there are the better and the more connected the upper and lower levels become.

PGIM Real Estate and Wheelock Street Capital are the two new investors with BGI.

The new granite curbing stored there is odd. Maybe it’s also being used for lay down of another project?

Excited about seeing how this project will turn out. I have high hopes for this very unusual design.

Looking at the street covering designs for this project and Foundation Medicine, along with all the bridges/overpasses on Summer St, here and around the Seaport, I wonder if the net effect will result in a lot of potentially dark creepy spaces for pedestrians at street level. It would be cool to see planned LED light displays/retail/activity in some of these covered areas.

My first reaction to your "scary" notion was to laugh... But your idea that the artistic use of LEDs would enliven Summer St. is inspired. Connecting these weird crossings to and away from the convention center and South Station would really enliven the conversations essential to that economy.

Back to the scary; under no circumstances should anybody think to "light up" the A Street crossing and staircases. The essential "darkness" of this particular place is, to my mind, one of the more real experiences in the city. In regards to conversations leading to new ideas, that shitty place should remain, so as to provide a counterpoint.

Because A street and Necco is where the cool kids live.

Well, at least we are getting a building taller than 5 floors, probably as tall
Former 3 WTC..jpg
as the former 3 WTC.:)
