Allston-Brighton Infill and Small Developments

Great photos as always, BeeLine. I run by most of these projects on a semi-regular basis, and it's cool to see some of them very nearly reaching completion!

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but it looks like we have some movement at the Boston Tech Center site according to the BBJ. think I remember some rendering a few months back, but can't locate them. Were they from Berkeley?

https://www.bizjournals.com/boston/...taps-berkeley-to-redevelop-allstons-long.html

Globe article...Yes, Berkeley's the developer and seemingly moving ahead with a mixed use development:
https://www.bostonglobe.com/busines...ay-that-way/uuYnPJS0MjtCdEEOOAq7uN/story.html

Also, I recall the render (I believe it was on pg. 80 of this thread) but the images seem to have gone dead. That said, it wasn't an official/submitted proposal, but a concept (I believe) prepared by Höwler+Yoon that seems to have been taken down from their site.

Took some digging but I still have em on my phone. These ones?

I hope this isnt what theyre going with anymore tbh..

Locals worrying about the affect of the height of these buildings on traffic, wait till they see the new seaport thats going in literally directly across the street to go with the pike realignment, this is nothin. Because of this theres going to be a new train station built right here in a few years, so they could definitely build it without a huge garage. The city is going to have to have something in place for these inner stations by then.

Bostonian: "There's nowhere to live in this city!"
Same Bostonian, 5 min later: "You're not building that housing monster, nope, nuh uh, people might have cars."

Damn. No more Russian stuff, I guess.

I hate to say it, since it’s not my backyard, but it’s also not that many people’s backyard anymore unless you’re a college renter: the whole territory from Linden to Malvern should be razed and rebuilt.

Only if some of the rebuilding is new college renter housing. They need to live somewhere...
