My office is near here and it's been fun to watch this project progress. The seaport was beginning to have a really dynamic daytime restaurant and retail scene pre-covid and the addition of new buildings like this should help that take off again this summer. The two new buildings a block (450 Summer?) south of this now U/C that will abut the elevated portion Summer St and open both on the lower street (Congress?) and the elevated Summer St. are exciting because they will tie together the two levels of the streetscape. Those buildings will be a block east of the old iron staircases linking Summer to A streets and greatly extend the continuity from the brick warehouses of "old Boston" on Summer St. deeper into the Seaport going toward the convention center. On foot, that elevated portion of Summer St. is vacant and windy now with great views of large chunks of open land around the BCEC and on A St. heading south.

Not a great photo but I'm amazed at the relative speed this building has gone up with, window install on the upper floors almost done

This looks SO MUCH better in my opinion than the office building at Pier 4 that has the same folded facade. I really wish these buildings were swapped because the Pier 4 building is much more exposed and visible in the Seaport.

The Amazon building is my idea of 'stack of books' architecture, or rather a stack of thick design mags. I also get the vibe from the last photo in Beeline's set of a ship's bridge. Either way, a handsome building and fine addition to the neighborhood.
