BasedI think some people, even the ones who claim they are progressives, get worried these kinds of projects will erode their home's value or lead to people they deem undesirable living in their town.

haha, I mean thats funny, but at the same time, I think any construction in the inner suburbs is up for grabs, especially if it's new multi-unit construction. For the hood around Waverly, a townhome project would certainly be newsworthy to anyone who lived in this hood. If it was a new, single family home in Wrentham, maybe not, but here, Im ok with it. It speaks to a greater density of what Im sure was previously SFH and thats urban change which is what this site is all about.Stick, I'm one of you biggest fans, and to me you're one of the MVP's of this site........... but this one is a bit deep in the weeds. Someone built a house. Not sure it's really newsworthy, but that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

That is one extremely bizarre looking duplex. I expect to see the American Gothic farmer dude and his wife holding a pitchfork upright, standing in front of this thing.Attitash Builders Completes Luxury Belmont Townhomes

It’s not lol…that neighborhood is all multi family units…mostly 2-3 each. It would be newsworthy if someone built a modern version of 100 Lexington st. I got this update from BLDUP today and was so confused. It's literally one house with two units. Help me understand how 147 Lexington Street is "urban change".
.
I think they squished it horizontally so that you can't tell upon first glance that the roof is actually more shallow-sloped compared to what would normally be expected for this type of design: https://www.redfin.com/MA/Belmont/147-Lexington-St-02478/unit-1/home/191966229Why are the doors so narrow?
