Boston Department Store Blog

I know....oh, how true, Datadyne007!!!!

I so loved putting this update together. Jordan Marsh...the old Main Store and Annex had wonderful elevators...the bells and doors and great signal lights with classic floor dial indicators.
The escalators in the Annex were quirky...but if used with care, as most of us did for years, also retro classics!!

Thanks!!!!!

Hello, All!!!
Happy May!!!

Today the blog looks at the way the stores of old helped us get from floor to floor...in style and speed!!!

Look back...have a peek at how vertical travel changed inside our great stores of old.

Thanks Charles. Enjoyed the metal chair ad. Reminded me of hot humid evenings gently rocking one, taking in the Chesterfield scented air.
