If the snow gets any higher maybe it will float away...

It's too bad they didn't design the ice arena to look like a dock for the cruise ship - maybe if it were moored to the ice arena, we wouldn't have to worry about it floating adrift into the Pru...

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

This thing is seriously stalled. It should be much much further along. Anyone have any feel for why this is having a hard time getting closed-up?

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

Oh, IDK, maybe the 100+ inches of snow over the last couple months? Everything is stalled, chill out.

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

Quite possibly, but there seems to be some supply chain issues in the glazing and exterior skin trades these days. This job should have been closed up tight well before this winter if you look at a typical construction schedule. I was wondering if anyone else are experiencing this.

Ps. According to the AB record. The first bit of glass hit this building in August.

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

Seems like the same thing is happening at the ink block. Whatever the tallest one is called there, has looked the same for 6 months. Seems to me they must be having supply issues as well

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

Maybe there are temperatures issues with installing the glazing.

For Boston, February was the ALL-TIME...2ND COLDEST MONTHLY AVG...19.0...RECORD IS 17.5 - FEB 1934.

Perhaps the glass was enroute from China and was sitting in a container floating just outside the Port of LA waiting for the slow-down to end

Good points. Record cold here plus a port shutdown on the west coast = slow construction activity.

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

Does anyone know when the tower portion is going to rise?

Harvard Business School Publishing to move into New Balance headquarters

Harvard Business School Publishing, a longtime tenant of the Arsenal in Watertown, will move into New Balance’s old headquarters next year.

New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc. will vacate its building at 20 Guest St. this fall and move into new space at the Boston Landing development next door, freeing up 229,000 square feet of office space. HBS Publishing, which has been based at the former Watertown military base for more than a decade, will lease 125,000 square feet.

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

This is a much better location for Harvard Business Review. And they'll have a commuter rail stop by the time they open their doors.

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex

Curbed Boston is saying that MassDOT is breaking ground on the CR station on May 12.
