The retail podium here by Elkus Manfredi is fine but nothing special. They're also designing the retail space at NY's Hudson Yards including a flagship Neiman Marcus store. http://wirednewyork.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2957&page=115
Apparently they save their best work for not here.

I fail to see how that example you've cited qualifies as anyone's "best work." Elkus also did Neiman Marcus at the Natick Collection, which was a Gehry ripoff. I'd argue NM Natick is better. Elkus also has the Copley Place/NM tower which is beautiful through-and-through. The podium they've designed at Boylston West is great as it is. It's contextually appropriate for the Fenway.

Edit: Just realized from typing this that Elkus does a lot of Neiman Marcus work...

I like the side with the curves, but that silver seems a bit garish to me. Waiting for the final product to make a judgement though
