Wow, a second crane going in. How fast do they need this building to go up?? The floor slab looks to be about 6' thick. Definitely engineered to be stable on clay soil.

This is huge. Still trying to figure out why there’s the oddly angled piece of steel (in pictures above). Looks like a cool facade mock-up too.

Oddly angled steel like that is used when the column grid is changing between levels. It redirects the downward force to the lower grid.

I think Gateway is just a fancy marketable way of saying bottleneck
Westbound, Windsor Place can get very very backed up during evening rush… and that’s with the yards being mostly warehouses and scrap yards.

The amount of steel in these buildings is amazing. I'm wondering if its over engineering or because the clay soil really requires this much steel to be stable.
