The Sargent building next door has an interesting history. It had previously been the Nursing building until BU merged its nursing school with Northeastern in 1987. It got a totally new front and rear façade for Sargent. When it became the nursing school in the 1960's they built a rear addition and you can still see the different shades of brick on the side. The nursing school façade was "modern" for the 1960's as the building was totally redone for nursing. I once saw a picture of the building in its original incarnation and it was a bland building from the 1920's or so.
