Watched a pick from the Harvard Bridge today when it was a little windy; I don't think any other cranes were operating around then. Nothing too risky but got me thinking in the same realm that it was strange they were able to resume in what seemed like a fast "inspection" phase after the accident...

That's some interesting engineering with the braces... And the slender columns, and the ultra-thin looking beams and girders associated with the floors along the slender columns... Must add to the imbalanced jenga effect

The loads on that structure must be really tricky, with all the large offset sections as you rise up. I assume that is driving some of the unusual bracing running through the structural steel frame.
