Might be the old steam locomotive roundhouse. That was pretty close to the vicinity of where those pics were taken, and those things usually had pretty deep foundations. Although it's kind of baffling they don't have this stuff better mapped out. That building wasn't demolished until the late-50's if not early-60's. It's not exactly a hidden 19th century relic.

The 20-story residential high rise at 20 Child Street called “Twenty|20” will be just north of the Gilmore Bridge and will have forty-one units below market price. The building will have a mix of studio to three-bedroom apartments, along with a fitness room, gathering rooms, roof deck, security and concierge service

Wish it was taller. Looks like it'll be shorter than a majority of what's already there?

I can't wait to not be able to afford it at all. Would love to be perfectly strattled between a jog to Community College and Lechmere stations.

It will be about the same height as the Archstone (Avalon) Building. I was told that they started working on the Maple Leaf Building which will be turned into micro units. Sierra and Tango are now about 93% sold (305 units sold out of 329 total for both buildings).

Apparently construction has started on 22 Water St., making for three active construction projects in the NorthPoint area now (22 Water, EF, and Twenty 20)

Cool! I like this design...NorthPoint is silently and quickly making some progress.

There haven't been any official announcements about the labs starting construction here, correct?

Huh. I like it. I wonder how it will pair with EF's glass waterfall.

I keep seeing what looks like a pile driver or two around what I think is this site from the train- I'm assuming that's this and/or 20Twenty? I'll try and grab some pictures the next time I head into town.

Is there some type of zoning regulation or underlying soil condition of the site preventing them from building 30 or more stories here? I feel that this is one of the last remaining open lots in Cambridge to build upon and I think the site could use more than a few 15-20 story buildings.
