Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

Odd, I've never seen stick construction with some dinky bits of structural steel like that. Must be one hell of a sign they're planning to put up at that corner.

Some dusky shots from above... apologies for the reflections of lights. I should really remember to try to take pictures during the day.

They can program it to display pretty much any moving imagery they want. I have seen it with a twilight sky once.

Google lobby:

To be clear, this is a connector lobby between 4 Cambridge Center and 5 Cambridge Center. This is not yet Google Center (although it my be in the future).

I like this building quite a bit. The color and height I think is ideal for this sort of infill. If you look closely you can see tables and chairs in the commercial space, so maybe it's a cafe (though not like Inman is hurting for those). Sure beats the tar out of that hybrid KFC/Taco Bell disaster that used to occupy this space.

Cambridge gets urbanism right. Too bad they are plagued by so much terrible suburbanism (Kendall and Alewife).

And I loved the KFC here and their extra crispy skin... both of those are gone now (damn trans fatty acids).
