At bottom left (from 5/5):
I like those old Sears buildings on the outside. Never going to see brick work like that to often in the near future so I appreciate the attempt to keep them in use. I walked the inside of the Fenway Sears in it's dying days and it was uuuugly! The inside was a depressing warehouse, painted all white, and every wall had stains on it. (I did buy a floor cabinet, still have it!) The Porter Sq building has been surviving. It has a great Asian market / eatery set up on the first floor since the 90s. I just tried Sapporo ramen a couple weeks ago, very good! And in Watertown that I think there is an old Sears that became a Partners health.Which redevelopment of a former Sears do I think is turning out better: Cambridgeside Galleria or Fenway's Landmark Center?
Ugh, what a dilemma...
I love it here.
I had not been down to CambridgeSide in a while. This really changes the view from the turning basin.
