I love this end shot. It's cool to see Stantec, DCR, & CRC's logo on skateboard decks.

werent there also going to be tennis courts here? when do those get put in?
 
The original skaters who wanted this park will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony in wheel chairs with their bones twisted and broken from the ravages of osteoporosis and arthritis
 
Things are happening quickly. I'm no expert in skatepark construction but this looks like it could be open next season.

^The CRC is hoping to finish a bit before winter sets in. I'll let you know when an opening date is set in stone.

The setting of the skate park is so great--the ramps, the rail line, cement factory and river. I hope they don't try to keep the actual park graffiti free. Build it well, and then let the kids have at it.

I'm a big fan of graffiti and street art, but there should be some security at the park over night. Hate to see it turn into a place for the homeless to camp out and the junkies to shoot up.
