Well, it's still a symbol of the company. Flip it upside down and we can pretend it represents Star Trek! How about just keeping the red triangle and removing "CITGO"?

The sign will be positioned 30 feet higher and 120 feet to the east to restore and preserve the original view corridor, ensuring it can be enjoyed by the public from its permanent home in Kenmore Square.

Piece by piece, the 60-foot-by-60-foot sign will be moved and anchored to new, custom footings recently installed on the roof of the Beacon Street building. Planning for the sign's future began in 2018 and involved the review of several city organizations.
Heres the new structure so far, giant middle finger lol.![]()
Has anyone reeeeally missed it?
It's glitzy, so it's a standout in a rather staid city.No. I realize that the sign has been a fixture in Kenmore Square for longer than I can remember but how it's revered by the locals is rather odd.
Even so, ZERO chance it would be approved these days if it were being proposed for the first time. People just hate change. It's glitzy, so it's a standout in a rather staid city.
