I'm not keen on the Las Vegas Strip/Macau Cotai look, but, I can live with it. I'm really a fan of the wildly cheap buffets that come with gaming.

So we knew a concert hall was going to be proposed, the addition of a large garage makes sense. I still feel a little underwhelmed at the scale of the events center - why not go bigger? The large restaurant on Broadway is nice, but a "terrace" next to 8 lanes of traffic will suck, and the Broadway frontage just feels like a copy-paste from Las Vegas Blvd - is that the idea down the length of Broadway?

The bridge will be a totally new entrance to Everett, and with that many lanes of traffic makes sense.

I'm genuinely curious as to whether or not anyone from the team behind this proposal has ever spent any time in the area. There's just no world in which a "terrace" along Broadway is going to be an enjoyable dining experience.

I rode through there on Sunday afternoon. I had no sensation in my fingers, but my nose did pick up a whiff of a Chateau d'Oil 2020, with distinct earthy, oleaginous notes of macadam and loam, pleasantly austere of tannins. I sampled it at this free tasting location two blocks from the state sanctioned filcherie.
I will concede that the oil smell gives way to truck dust further down Robin and Dexter. As long as the winds prevail as westerlies, all will be well for those logic bereft few, rapt in illusory awe at the Altar of Mammon.

Well, I don't have COVID, but I suppose it is possible that my brain is filtering out an unpleasant stench. I do tend to notice as soon as I cross under the Tobin, that I can suddenly smell salt air, whereas I don't smell that at all the entire way between Broadway and that spot, so maybe my mind just shuts it all out? Regardless, I bet they have ways to deal with such issues.
