This will look alot less jarring once that surrounding area changes. But until then, o_O

Great shots! I can't for the life of me figure out where you got them from, though.

Thanks! They're from Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. Park at the lot on top of the hill. You'll already see part of the city pulling in, but the fuller view is from the grassy area to the left.

This is a gorgeous property! ❤

Ugh, really? I am never going to be happy with it, the least they could've done is design a different tower instead of replicating the Vegas ones. Casino architecture sucks in general, but it would've been 100x better if we could've built something more like Ocean Resort in AC

Hasn't that place spent more time closed than open in the 8 years since it was finished? As far as I know, the AC gambling industry in in the toilet. I do agree that Ocean looks good, and I would have preferred that architecture. Hey, at least it isn't a Caesars Palace.

Love or hate its aesthetics, surely it's the largest/most expensive Chapter 91 development, by a colossal margin, to be theoretically impacted by the now-infamous court ruling re: BPDA's waterfront plan?

The tower portion of Ocean Resort is the only saving grace.
This photo should tell the awful real story of a monstrosity plunked into a destitute neighborhood with zero regard for context:

Encore is disgustingly tacky and tasteless. But the grounds and surrounding block are remarkably well engaged.

Gee, l wonder why the windows only start on the second story? Could have at least used fake glass at street level instead of reviving the Berlin Wall.

Looks like the Last Tenement Building in the West End.

Ive been there a couple of times, the building basically starts on the 5th floor. You take a ton of really long escalators to get to the good stuff.

I actually stopped by the night they went out of business.
