Encore Boston Harbor Casino | 1 Broadway | Everett

This looks great tbh. It looks like a destination, which it is. Ill take the addition to Bostons night life, along with the water taxis from Rowes Wharf. How cool is it that you can go gamble at a Wynn, if thats your thing, and have Boston skyline views from your hotel room...

Anyways:

Any word on when the waterway will be dredged? Its still extremely shallow.

Isnt it made out of solid gold? And thats why it was like 10 million dollars or something crazy like that.

Probably so. I bet that if something were to be stolen out of there, it would be THAT, once a thief learns about the real value of it!!

The top pic kinda reminds me of the stairs at the WTC Transit Hub.

I think he overpaid by around 28 million, but to each their own.

I was wondering how good the view of the skyline was going to be from the tower. The angle of the tower left it up to speculation because it wasnt facing towards downtown. The curvature of the facade meant youd definitely be able to see it, but how good it was hard to say. Although the netting does its best to completely screw this picture up, you can still see the skyline and get an idea of what the rooms will see. Looks like it will be pretty good which is awesome because a casino with a Boston skyline view is about as badass as it gets.

You have to be able to zoom in, but if you can you can get a better idea.

So the angle of the hotel puts the skyline off to the left side of your field of view, but you can definitely see it pretty good and then you also get the view of the park and the river. So itll actually be pretty cool being able to watch the boats going up the river, coming into the mini harbor and dropping the people off from Rowes Wharf. Then you have the skyline off in the background. I didnt really think about the river before, but that definitely makes this view better and also gives it movement.

It seems like youll also be able to see the harbor from up here and Logan as well. So you should be able to see planes taking off and landing adding more movement along with the river. Pretty cool.

I wonder if they decided to cancel the curved escalators? (shown framing Popeye in the second set of Stick's pictures.) The first pic here shows a curved staircase, and it curves in the opposite direction as shown in the Popeye picture. I suppose it could just be a different room here with the curved stairs, and the curved escalators will be built as pictured. Just an observation that caught my attention.

That appears to be a different staircase.

Curved escalators have been installed.

A great view. Also a view that would be made ten times better if they bought out the old sections of the power plant and dropped those stacks. Or just paid them to demo the stacks.

amazing how much work is still left to be done in the next 8-9 months. But if I were ever to bet on a construction schedule, it would be this one!
