Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Is that video posted anywhere that doesn't make me log into facebook? Because fuck that.

that sucks darn..... trying to be anit-proletariat

i never had my face or facecrock for ditter.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but this video gives a good view of how tall it is compared to the Pru

The core looks to be around the same height as the Top of the Hub. Tower is probably a week away from topping out.

I actually signed into facebook and still couldn't view this.

The core might be a week from topping out but the floors are not quite there yet, and there will almost assuredly be steel for the screen at the top.

A friend of mine who was at the top of the tower this morning, stated that he took a picture from the 61st floor. Not sure if that is accurate but the core may have already hit the highest floor and any additional height will be for the mech.

thanks.

the core appears about ~dead center of the Pru's crown: the deck of level #52.

so is there 1 or 2 levels to go which will be steel, like Avalon Nashua St.

An Iron Worker Local Union 7 employee responded to my query yesterday regarding whether 1 Dalton will be taller or shorter than the Prudential Tower and he answered that it will be slightly shorter. I know this is a point that's been talked over frequently but just an FYI. Looks like the cited 742 ft will be the official height.

Better. You dont “feel” the scale and scope of all of this development in pictures. When your in the back bay and go around a corner and see 1 dalton and have to bend your neck alll the way back to see the top you just say whoa. Or when your on the mass ave bridge and turn side to side and the city extends as far as you can see and the high spine is right in front of you with the shimmering water slowly lapping around you its amazing. Then you look downtown and MT is located literally in the perfect spot to put a cap on downtown. Same with when you round that final corner on the pike and 1 dalton comes into view before anything else and it goes up as high as you can see in your windshield then the classic pru and hancock come into view and 1 dalton slowly fades away until its hidden and all you can see is the older skyline again its pretty drastic.

The sheer size of Boston has grown in every direction. Even ink block when your way up on the elevated highway driving next to windows on the 8th floor and every so often they line up and you can see all the way to the back bay its really cool. It happened more before that new really wide building was built it was like a grid where after every building youd see it again, but now theres a couple times when theres a break and the pru comes to view. Same with going north you see northpoint right up next to the highway on your left then assembly comes up on your right and the casino across the river. Coming back in NST looks huge and now you really “go under” the city with the merano complete you go right under the street wall with lovejoy wharf on one side lit up and nst on the other with the light strip and hub on causeway now taking shape. It really is becoming incredible all of the new development.

Some of the pictures are zoomed in so they look taller like from Arkington but in real life you feel it idk how to describe it. Theyre small but still look tall because of the scale of the city out in front of you.

First reaction: when you clear the CAT southbound by 1 Greenway at NIGHT is HOLY SHIT that's Back Bay! It's INSANE! Maybe you can stop on the deck in the wee hours and snap a few shots without getting killed. Or possibly slow down with your flashers w/ someone in the passenger seat taking pics with capable camera.

If someone can get that shot!!!

Here's Burke St at Northeastern.... w/ crappy android cam

And Washington St a block over from Melnea Cass....

I have a hunch the core may be topped out now, its been staggered for a while now as work went on and its now level.

i suspect you are correct. very curious to see how tall the mechanical screen winds up being. we've been debating the 742', 755', 740' etc. issue for years now. i wish they'd pushed for new tallest just b/c, but it'd still be cool if it winds up taller than the pru. (why? you're a height fetishist! no, im really not. it'd just be fun)

I also always thought they'd go another 50' just for the marketing pitch alone. "Come live in New England's tallest building" would appeal to a lot of rich egos out there.

I've been thinking the same thing since about last week. We'll see, but I think this thing is juuuuust about there.

So with the top core level now up; it's the base of the roof w/ steel going another ~15-18'.
