Nice! You captured Boston's four tallest in that last one.
A gazillion redundant skyline shots but virtually none of what matters - street level.
The street level was doomed from the start. The Christian Science Center banned alcohol from being served on the ground floor, plus the hotel and condo lobbies take up a good portion of the ground space on a small parcel.
(frankly, this explanation is getting redundant.)
I don't think kmp was referring specifically to 1 Dalton; rather, was taking the opportunity to again poke at the height fanatics on this site, who have a particular myopia when it comes to what gets included in the vertical dimension of their photos...
That said, all of this is nonetheless redundant
In other words, more of a focus on urbanism and less on petty wankery would be amazing.
In other words, your bitching is much more valuable to this site than my (and others) pictures.... In your own mind.
Newsflash: You add NOTHING to ArchBoston. Literally, absolutely NOTHING. Go crawl back under your rock and we'll see you again this time next month for another wave of useless complaining.
Why is everyone so 0 -100 here? Just chill. Everyone is ok ... we all have axes and we all grind them.
......Now don't we all feel better?
cca
...some of us - probably the majority, actually - thoroughly enjoy both tall, artistic skyscrapers AND energetic, well-programmed street activation?...

Wow, unnecessarily harsh.
By the way, I like all of the pictures people post, whether or not they cater to my own specific interests. Keep them coming, but let's try to be civil when it comes to criticism.
More or less. I guess it’s a commentary on how people interact with the city. For suburbanites and height fetishists(typically one in the same) this is all that matters but for people who actually interact with and live or frequently visit what’s happening over their head is largely irrelevant as long as it doesn’t suck.
