I've been a lurker on the forum for a little while and figured it was time to contribute my fair share. I'm fortunate enough to work on one of the upper floors of the tower and have always been intrigued by the architecture of the building.

I recently came upon this article about the tower from 1977 and had to post the pages. FYI the printing is off center.

I hate that LM now blocks the old Hancock from certain angles
 
^ Wow! "The Lonely Tower"

Yea it's pretty much the perfect view for the Hancock because the Prudential is blocked by an apartment tower and the rest of the buildings are too short to show above the trees. I never really appreciated it's isolation till I moved here. Still hope Copley Place gets built soon. ;)

eta, in the meantime I going to start taking tons of photos from this angle, to get an idea of the different subtle lighting that hits the building and the changing foliage throughout the year.
