Harvard Student Housing | 10 Akron St | Harvard Square | Cambridge

^^ It gets used when its nice. And it is a nice park, but no more for this area, it's sufficiently open.
Agree on both counts, as a resident of this immediate neighborhood. I usually see at least a few people in the park when it's not winter; and indeed I am within spitting distance of a ton of parks and open space. I love the new little park, but we've got plenty now!

Even though we're not having a real winter, February is not the ideal time to determine how well the park is being used. Let's take another look in May.

It's a problem when spaces in Boston are not being designed for the 7/12 months when it's not optimally warm to bask outdoors in them. We need to judge them by their year-round usability.

Harvard Square and Faneuil Hall aren't similarly deserted in winter because they're sufficiently intimate and surrounded by warm, commercial spaces.

Boston needs a better balance of parks that can only be used half the year vs. those that are cozy summer, winter, spring or fall.

Don't care if it's superfluous--this is one of the few over-designed parks out there that really works.

^ I agree, I bike through it (well, stop and walk my bike) every day on the way to my gym. It's a great little space and is often busy. The fountain is nice, to.
