Great, an exurban shopping mall + highway exit office park all rolled into one, on real estate literally sitting next to the edge of the urban core.
110 more + a hotel going right behind it. It looks like for financing reasons they're doing their IDP units on the grocery first.Relevant: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2025/12/12/business/charlestown-supermarket-approved/
Cool that there will be 32 apartments on top of it, but would have been nicer to have a lot more.
Not sure if this should now have its own thread but 25 Supertest Street is back on the table in a new submission. Stats:
- 19 floors
- 235'
- 130 hotel rooms
- 108 apartments
When you say submission you mean BPDA needs to do design review? Not sure if this should now have its own thread but 25 Supertest Street is back on the table in a new submission. Stats:

Supertest St… Someone needs to get fired for proposing or retaining that name.
This is part of the approved Hood master plan. Each building goes through its own design review/submission. but this building is different than what was approved in the master plan so there is a little more to the review than just design. This review is also for the open space, Hood Green, as well. When you say submission you mean BPDA needs to do design review?
Great photo. When I was in Cub Scouts around 1960, our troop did a tour of that Hood Milk plant. Aaaah, reminiscing.
