Infill and Small Developments | Portland

There was a plan several years ago when Jenkins was City Manager, to build an athletic complex with a major sponsor like New Balance. It would have been a facility between the ice arena and the expo, garage, another sheet of ice for the arena. That never materialized. shocker

Maybe I didn't see or read it anywhere, but they should actually physically connect this to the Expo Building itself.
It's on the opposite of the park, near the larger grill shack and towards St. John St., not on the other picnic area side by the Expo.

Nice work. Great views.

I think this one will deserve its own thread.

I know it's early but this looks like cheap public housing or university housing for families. Again, zero design effort.

That first one (York St.) is the place that used to be Baxter Academy, and before that MediaPower / Dr. Germs, etc., isn't it?

The Docents Collection seems like "we're rolling our own AirBnB"

I guess this is what it looks like now. I'll take a pic to post when I'm back in town during Labor Day weekend.

I've often wondered if the CMP power station on Union Street could be developed by building above it or relocating the generators and associated equipment to another nearby location. Seems like such a waste of valuable downtown real estate. Does anyone know if CMP actually owns the property or does it belong to Tim Soley?
