Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

That's pretty nice.
I presume the first level or two are for the restaurant, while the upper two levels are the offices.
Does anyone know if the small dock behind this new structure is intended for a sort of 'sail-through' where boaters could call in an order and pick it up via the water? Or, for that matter, travel to the restaurant by boat?

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

Saltbox is right, small scale stuff like this works, especially in SBW. And this blends nicely with the B of A Pavillion.

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

What was there before

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

Why was it so ugly

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

It was part of a seaport. Seaports generally look utilitarian.

Until you cover them with precast concrete and pretty paneling! Oh, wait a second...

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

^ Then you get a seaport in name only. A phony-baloney seaport.

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

aw its gonna be a legal seafoods? I was hoping for one of a kind restraunts

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

Legal's pretty one of a kind for the rest of the country.

Re: Jimmy's Harborside Development

True, but at this location, there is a Legal a mile up the road at the aquarium, and the LTK 2 blocks away.

Don't I recall some kind of new Legal being proposed at this location? A new high end Legal that would be in the Morton's price range. Has this changed? Any idea on the other 3 restaurants?

A mix of cuisine and price range would be ideal. Something us working class schlubs in the area can afford for lunch would be good news.

Here is another rendering. They're calling it Liberty Wharf.

Looks good to me. Not overly ambitious, but it looks nice.
