To me, at least, this has started to look very tall on the skyline since it passed 33 Arch. The next few weeks are going to be very exciting as it begins to clear everything else.
 
The funny thing is from Franklin at near PO square 33 arch still looks taller...

I agree. This is starting to make a big impact when looking from Boylston or Newbury Streets in the Back Bay. People are definitely talking about it and taking notice.

617 --that's a perspective effect -- you are close enough to both that the lesser distance to the 33 Arch, the shorter building, dominates angle-wise over over the MT's greater height -- this will change as the upper parts of MT trully tower

From yesterday 7/2

Still stuck at 39 (formed) floors. Once it starts on 40, the very tippity top should be reaching/eclipsing that elusive 500' mark!

















 
Expecting to see quite a view of the MT from the Cambridge side @ MIT tonight before and during the 4th Fireworks
 
Exchange Place is supposedly only 510' but I wonder if maybe they aren't counting the mech and it's really taller. It certainly appears to be from Brookline and JP.

I've always thought this exact same thing - especially given that 60 State Street is 508'.
