New Bar and Restaurant for Long Warf

Some chairs and tables under the pavilion would actually give the structure a purpose. Grab some of the Adirondack chairs from City Hall Plaza, or the metal tables and chairs from the Greenway. Occasional visits by a food truck or espresso cart would be nice to activate the space without being as exclusionary as a sit-down restaurant or beer garden.

Are there chairs/benches inside the pavilion? If I were roll through one day with my dunks and sandwich, but didn't want to sweat it out in the sun, could I feasibly sit in the pavilion?

Broader question: is there anything that can be done to improve the space, that wouldn't in any way affect public access?

No, there's no seating inside the pavilion, so it's not a very useful refuge in the hot sunshine. All the benches are out on the water.

That rendering above is hideous - I'm glad that proposal didn't move forward. Still, a little ice cream cart or lemonade stand would be a nice amenity out there at the end of the pier.

Why not allow carts that can be moved on an off the pier?
