The new Ronald Perelman performing arts center is finally u/c at the wtc complex! Heres some renders of whats to come:
100% is, here's the front view of the actual character model3rd render from the bottom - is that an Assassin's Creed character? Kidding... but seriously?
Oh yeah, somehow I forgot about that....this has been an incredible cycle for Boston--and really the whole country if you look at some of the developments. New York hasn't seen a skyline transformation like this since the 1920s/1930s.
So much for "Never Forget"...Oh yeah, somehow I forgot about that....this has been an incredible cycle for Boston--and really the whole country if you look at some of the developments. New York hasn't seen a skyline transformation like this since the 1920s/1930s.

Subtractions from the skyline aside, starting with the New York Times and BoA buildings in early 2000's through today, I think the New York skyline has been in a constant, jaw-dropping state of flux for 20 years. Ours has been a nice change, but it isn't remotely close. Just look at all that blue in the last line of this poster:
Sorry to contribute to the derailment

They look like crematorium chimneysToo bad most of the supertalls are absorbently expensive condos that are used for investments. :/
I like height, but for some reason, I don't find the new supertalls in Manhattan that attractive.
foster’s design is being ‘significantly modified to be more reflective of contemporary needs and taste’. however, no rendering is currently available as the scheme is still a work in progress.
Foster and Partners is back for 2 WTC! I was really saddened to see what I thought as one of the best modern towers to be proposed be replaced with a stack of boxes by BIG, though there's not promising language surrounding if they're retaining the original design or not.
Still holding hope they execute well here. No indication on any start date, as they still have to lease 3 WTC before this can begin, which still has a few more floors left to lease.
For reference, the original 2006 proposed design:

Replaced in 2015 by BIG with this:
