How did it end up getting so short? Renderings showed it 7 stories and same height as abutting building, but as-built is looks 10+ feet shorter while still being 7 stories?

This must have cost like $27 to build lol. A 5 over 2 thats extremely thin and took hardly any material besides some plywood, 2/4’s, and some cinder blocks for the stair well. This is technically a single stair 5 over 2, which means it has to be under 12 units in MA. In most cases it wouldnt make sense to build, but these units are going to be able to sell for a lot being right in downtown. This does in a way kind of give a glimpse at what could be coming if we pass a single stair law where you can get much smaller and appropriately sized wood framed buildings vs just massive landscrapers. This is legal so its smaller than what could be built with a single stair law, but it gives an idea.
