I'm going to miss that bridge.

A symphony of steel replaced with a concrete slab with a fish carcass slapped on top.

I generally agree with most of your posts, but I think you may be romanticizing this one just a bit. This bridge hasn't been right since the el was removed (not that I ever saw that for myself), and the pedestrian experience, at least in my opinion, is pretty unpleasant.

Though I do think the replacement should be less utilitarian.
