One more set with a place I adore - The Longwood Galleria. It looks exactly - and I mean, EXACTLY - the same as it did when I first went there as a sixie at BLS back in 1997. I love everything about this, the colors, the designs, the art. And it pains me to know that at some point they will decide to do this place over and it all will be lost. These Postmodern palaces are becoming increasingly rare and I believe that we lose something when they disappear. It's always 1993 in here and I love it so much. I hope it stays like this forever.

Gonna try something a little different. I decided to look back at my photos from exactly 10 years ago and realized it might be a bit fun to recall some of the construction happening back around August-September 2014. Given how the pace of development has only ballooned in the intervening years, this period is really starting to feel distant, almost but not quite quaint.

Very cool to see the New Balance spaceship under construction! Thanks for these!

One interesting (and mildly depressing) thing to note--so many more sedans in these photos and fewer of the monster trucks and SUVs that are everywhere these days. The proliferation of those large vehicles in basically just the last 10-15 years has been astounding.

Saw a Storrowing in action today! No visible impact damage but the outbound lanes were blocked and the truck was facing the wrong direction. I passed these along to adamg at Universal Hub and he responded immediately so you should see these over there too. I'd have to rate this a 6.5 out of 10 storrowing, pretty pretty good!

Crazy how not long ago 2014 feels. I cant believe its already been 10 years, holy cow! Also the mid rise millennium place building where cafe nero is located was such an awesome addition to dtx. It kind of faded into obscurity a bit after it was built, but I feel like this is because it so seamlessly blends in with all of the great architecture around it. Definitely one of my favorite developments of the last 15 years. I had to look when it was completed and it was apparently 1 year before in 2013.
