Another photo from last week.

Oh wow!! They could do so much with this area. I didn’t realize that was the current state of that part of the terminal. They have a pretty good sign there atleast letting passengers know there is construction going on

I agree but the seating has been moved so much during the past few months and hopefully everything will be visually aesthetic with new carpeting along with the opening of the expanded gate area complete with restrooms and a SARA for the critters. Am looking forward to late May and I'll try and get a sneak preview prior to the construction dividing wall coming down and will post some photos.

Also, Portlander, what about some dynamic wraps for compelling images on the walls? It's largely plain looking. I have a mural artist friend who does great work and just bought a massive new printer for it. The materials used today are fantastic and can even be put over brick! It kind of molds into it. I can think of some great imagery, especially that one featuring the downtown skyline with the White Mountains in the background and the Portland Headlight in the foreground. I'll get you 40% off too, maybe 50%. Not expensive to do, at all, really. And so that first impression walking out of the jetway into the terminal will become truly epic.

I like your idea TC and we should connect your artist friend with the airport director when the baggage claim renovations get closer to fruition. What I can tell you is that PWM has a contract with the Clear Channel marketing firm like many other airports around the country and getting anything done without their involvement is difficult when I mentioned ideas to Paul in the past. The current project that is underway is already locked down financially and any deviation would be an exercise in futility at this point.
