Yeah, I think the LED lighting will look nice but I'm all about uniformity which means I'd like to see all of the gates with the panels.

Is the Jetway replacement project going to happen in the fall?
The 5 new jetways have been ordered and should be replaced this fall once Paul figures out how to finagle the funding mechanism. The tarmac renewal project even caught me by surprise and I had no idea portions of the ramp have or are approaching their due date for strength and safety. There is nothing new other than what has been discussed on here as far as projects in the near future.

What's the purpose of the floor-to-ceiling wood-paneled wall? Is it simply to screen the bathrooms? Is there a bench on there? It looks a touch odd to me.

It is more of a decorative addition but does provide seating for around eight adults or up to 10 kids and has charging outlets. :)

It actually does block the hallway to the restrooms but is not really needed due to private use facilities with doors. There is a ceiling mounted camera to monitor any shenanigans that might occur!

18, yes, EIGHTEEN RONs tonight… what are they doing with that 4th plane without a gate?! Denver, Dallas, Nashville all morning departures which is a great thing.

Don't forget, I think it's Gate 5 that is not available due to apron construction. The ramp at Northeast Air can serve as overflow when needed.

This is a great addition for the Jetport. The new Terminal A in Newark is replete with touches of natural wood for passenger seating areas. It looks like natural wood and suspended ceiling decoration for a more intimate or "cubby hole-like" feel will be a continued new design style at airports in the U.S. I've been to so many in the last few years, and I'm almost embarrassed to say, Terminal A in Newark is now my favorite.

No, just part of long term maintenance requirements of aging concrete and is similar to the need to refurbish the runways and taxiways every so many decades.

Has the $21 million been spent? aka new bridges, gates 12-14 expansion? or is this new money for FIS and other projects?
Is this a reimbursement for projects that were planned and done but waiting for the money?

I pulled up FlightRader24 a little bit ago and noticed a lot of activity coming and out of Bangor. I count 25 scheduled arrivals and departures today, as well as a ton of private flight activity. I know this is the Jetport thread, but Bangor seems to also be pulling its own weight during this busy final-days-of-summer stretch for travel in and out of the state.

I must say, all around it’s been such an impressive summer for the Jetport. We are lucky.
When customs comes, along with more parking, a revamped baggage claim, and more concessions in the current TSA office space this will feel like a mid size airport that holds its own (kinda already does) with all of the amazing options at Maines Home Airport.
Looking forward to future growth but we should all take advantage and enjoy what we got!
