The article I read this morning said he had the menino room at doyle's already. Isn't that the best tribute possible? Seriously however. Rip. You will be missed and I hope there is a fitting choice to memorialize him on top of those mentioned. God speed.

I was shocked when I heard this yesterday. It just all seems so fast, but I have so much respect for his decision to end his treatment.

Hizzonah he was indeed, and agreed, he was not corrupt and he loved the city.

Also, thinking about places that should be named after him, how about the new Ferdinand complex in Dudley Square? EDIT err I guess it was just named after Bruce Bolling, so nevermind that.

The people downtown were silent when Menino's procession went by. The people in Roxbury & Mattapan cheered loudly. I think this is really indicative of Menino's focus on revitalizing communities that had totally been forgotten. He cared so much about these outlaying communities of Boston. #oneboston couldn't be more appropriate. These communities are forever changed for the better because of him.
